BrainFITT Foundations

 Our 12-week small group training program is for older adults who want to stay sharp, strong, and independent—especially those noticing early signs of cognitive change.


This isn’t your typical seniors fitness class. BrainFITT blends the latest neuroscience, movement science, and neurorehabilitation strategies into one powerful, practical program. You'll train both brain and body in a supportive, engaging environment that challenges you in all the right ways. 

Who it's for

  • Older adults with early-stage dementia or MCI (cleared for exercise)


  • Adults experiencing memory concerns or “brain fog” who want to stay ahead of cognitive decline


  • Care partners welcome (if participating, alternate pricing available)


  • No prior fitness experience needed—we meet you where you're at 

What's Included

  • 12 Weeks of Training: Two 60-minute sessions per week in a small group of 4 to 8 people.


  • Pre & Post Assessments: Track progress in strength, balance, mobility, and cognitive function


  • Brain-Body Exercises: Strength, mobility, balance, and dual-task drills to enhance neuroplasticity and fall prevention


  • Cognitive Challenges: Simple but powerful brain-based tasks to support memory, attention, and coordination


  • Progressive Structure: Each phase builds on the last for lasting results


  • Education & Support: Learn brain-healthy habits to boost confidence and clarity

Led by Kim Shepherd, a kinesiologist and certified Brain Health Trainer with advanced coursework in neurological rehab and aging science, this program is grounded in research showing that combining movement, cognitive engagement, and lifestyle strategies is the most effective way to promote brain and body resilience.
